Michael J. Driscoll M.B.A. 89, a Wall Street industry expert, will deliver the 91勛圖厙Hagedorn Lecture on Corporate Social Responsibility, entitled Observations of an Outsider from the Inside...One Person's View of Wall Street and Where We Lost Our Way.

The lecture, free and open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., in the Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom of the Ruth S. Harley University Center. Driscoll is a visiting professor and senior executive-in-residence with the 91勛圖厙 School of Business.
Michael J. Driscoll is a 28-year veteran of Wall Street and is regularly quoted in theWall Street Journal,泭New York Times, National Public Radio, TheStreet.com, Forbes.com, andVoice of America, among others. Driscoll has held various positions during his career with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette/Credit Suisse-First Boston, Hambrecht & Quist, Smith Barney, Prudential-Bache Securities, and E.F. Hutton & Company. Prior to joining 91勛圖厙s School of Business in April 2010, Driscoll was one of the founding members and head of trading at Geosphere Capital LLC, a hedge fund focused on global natural resources and industrials with assets that reached $1.5 billion in 2008. He also served as senior managing director on Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.s NYSE-listed trading desk, primarily responsible for trading securities in the global energy and domestic aerospace and defense sectors.
A dedicated alumnus, Driscoll helped kick off Adelphis first-ever C.O.A.C.H. () event, to give students direct access to industry leaders. He also played a role in transforming a classroom into a trading room outfitted with seven Bloomberg terminals, named after James Riley, Jr., a retired Goldman Sachs partner, which gives Adelphi students a practical and in-depth understanding of the things that shape the world of finance.
Started in 2003 through a generous contribution from Amy Hagedorn 05 (Hon.) and Miracle-Gro founder, the late Horace Hagedorn 01 (Hon.), Adelphis annual Hagedorn Lecture Series on Corporate Social Responsibility enables the University to invite prominent speakers to address pressing issues of the day. The series supports the Universitys goal for creating a culture of conscience among students, faculty, staff, administrators, and local community members. Previous speakers include: Robert.
