Where Have Our MFA Graduates Works Been Published?

Here are just a few of our MFA graduates who have recently published in a variety of formats:

Clara Burghelea, MFA 20

Clara Burghelea,泭MFA 20, published her poetry泭collection泭The Flavor of The Other泭(Dos Madres Press) in 2020.泭The Romanian-born poet also is the review editor of泭Ezra, an online journal of translation.

Danielle Barnhart, MFA15, and Iris Mahan, MFA 14

Danielle Barnhart,泭MFA15,泭and泭Iris Mahan,泭MFA泭14,泭editedWomen of Resistance: Poems for a New Feminism (O/R Books, 2018), a poetry collection that counts Adelphis own Jacqueline Jones LaMon, JD, among the contributors. Barnardt and Mahan also cofounded the New York-based literary community, Village of Crickets.

Nii Akrofi Smart-Abbey, MFA 20

Nii Akrofi Smart-Abbey,泭MFA 20,泭a native of Ghana,launched泭Africa Talk Podcast in 2022as a泭magazine-style show featuring news and interviews with guests.

Benny Sisson,泭MFA 20

Benny Sisson,泭MFA 20,泭published泭American Lake, a poetry collection, in June 2022 from the Ghost City Press Summer Micro-Chapbook Series and is working on a young adult novel about a teenager who comes out as transgender.

Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP)

All graduate students are enrolled as members of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP). This organization provides professional and artistic support and assistance in finding positions. AWP members can take advantage of its job-listing and dossier-forwarding services.
