Jessica Benjamin, Ph.D., will present her paper, on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., as part of 91Թ’s annual Lindemann Lecture in Human Development. The lecture, which is hosted by theand is open to members of the Adelphi community, will be held at the Scholastic Building, 557 Broadway, New York, NY.

Dr. Benjamin is a practicing psychoanalyst in New York City, where she is a supervising faculty member at the New York University Postdoctoral Psychology program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis as well as a founding board member and faculty member of the Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. She was a cofounder of the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and the journalStudies in Gender and Sexuality.She serves on the editorial board ofPsychoanalytic Dialogues. She is known as a contributor to the development of relational psychoanalysis and its interrelation with feminism as well as the theory of intersubjectivity. She is the author of three books:The Bonds of Love;Like Subjects, Love Objects; andShadow of the Other. Her bookBeyond Doer and Done To: Recognition Theory, Intersubjectivity and the Thirdis due out in 2015.
