Javier Labrador has been working as an English/Spanish translator and interpreter since 1979. He began his professional career as a translator, interpreter, editor, senior editor, and language manager for various translation and multimedia advertising companies. He is the Executive Quality Director of the Spanish and Portuguese department at TransPerfect Translations. He is also an assistant professor in the Hunter College Continuing Education Translation and Interpretation Program. He has been teaching Editing andÌýProject Management online for 91³Ô¹ÏÍø since this program began.ÌýHe also teachesÌýSpanish courses at Cervantes Institute in Manhattan. He has a degree in English language and literature from the University of Havana, majoring in Translation and Interpretation and a number of post-graduate courses and studies on the specialty.
