On February 12, Adelphi’s Information Security Officer, Dr. Kees Leune, had the opportunity to moderate a panel at the ’s first symposium, “Assuring the Continuum of Care in Emergency Situations.” The symposium, attended by healthcare providers, technical professionals, and emergency managers, focused on the need for emergency situation planning and management in healthcare infrastructure.
Dr. Leune led a discussion about the business and technology aspects of such emergency planning, such as the viability of electronic medical records. The panel and symposium were well received by attendees and CHI plans to host further events on a variety of topics in healthcare.
