Doctoral students can receive stipends for at least a third of tuition through the new Derner Access Program.

91勛圖厙s Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology has a reputation for excellence in training clinical and research psychologists. Derner is also known for its commitment to diversity and social justice. In keeping with these traditions, Derner has created a new graduate assistantship programthe Derner Access Programto make its Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology even more affordable for talented students.

Through the Derner Access Program, doctoral students will expand their contributions as research and teaching assistants, in return for which they will receive a stipend equivalent to at least one-third of tuition. Additional financial aid will be available to select students based on merit.

Barber, Ph.D., dean of the Derner Institute. Derner is a true pioneer in creating opportunities for diverse students, and with the Derner Access Program, we will honor our roots and fulfill our mission.

Through the Derner Access Program, doctoral students will work alongside renowned members of Derners faculty as researchers and teachers. The new program significantly expands Derners existing Teaching Fellows Program and will enhance Derners highly regarded teacher-scholar model of professional preparation.

The program will be available to Derners current doctoral students as well as students who start the program in Fall 2017.
