Two dynamic artists join Associate Professor of Music Christopher Lyndon-Gee and the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra in this remarkable program. Soyeon Kate Lee, winner of the prestigious 2010 Naumberg International Piano Competition, is the soloist in Benjamin Britten鈥檚听Piano Concerto in D, celebrating the centennial year of the composer鈥檚 birth. Renowned soprano and Adelphi Adjunct Darla Diltz is the soloist in Henryk G贸recki鈥檚 powerful听Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs). The concert opens with Rimksy-Korsakov鈥檚 brilliant听Russian Easter Festival Overture.
