Two dynamic artists join Associate Professor of Music Christopher Lyndon-Gee and the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra in this remarkable program. Soyeon Kate Lee, winner of the prestigious 2010 Naumberg International Piano Competition, is the soloist in Benjamin Britten’sÌýPiano Concerto in D, celebrating the centennial year of the composer’s birth. Renowned soprano and Adelphi Adjunct Darla Diltz is the soloist in Henryk Górecki’s powerfulÌýSymphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs). The concert opens with Rimksy-Korsakov’s brilliantÌýRussian Easter Festival Overture.
