Dr. Tuval Foguel
Tuval Foguel, Ph.D. has been named Associate Dean for Academic Operations and General Education of the .
He has been the Department Head of Mathematics and Computer Science at Western Carolina University for the past five years.听Prior to his tenure at Western Carolina, Dr. Foguel served as Department Head of Mathematics at Auburn University at Montgomery.
Dr. Foguel has published numerous papers and has presented at conferences throughout the United States and around the world. His recognitions include Distinguished Research Professor at Auburn University and 奥丑辞鈥檚 Who Among America鈥檚 Teachers, among others. The appointment will commence on听August 1, 2014.
In his new position, Dr. Foguel will focus on the academic operations of the College including support of pre-major student advising and course planning, as well as support and coordination of the general education programs of the University.
Dr. Foguel holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Illinois specializing in group theory.
