Deborah Serani, Psy.D., comments in the "New York Post."

啦堯梗泭New York Post泭recently reported on the泭“ax your past” party trend in New Jersey. Party-goers泭can literally bury the hatchet by throwing axes at a bulls-eye or at a photo of their former partners at Stumpys Hatchet House in Eatontown, New Jersey.

Deborah Serani,泭Psy.D, adjunct professor at 91勛圖厙s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies and author of Depression in Later Life: An Essential Guide, commented on the popularity of these parties.

This is something that could have some benefits, Serani said. Its constructive deconstruction. Its a way to take excess energy that may be agitating you and use it in a productive way. As long as its all in fun, I dont see anything wrong with it.

Serani also added, I imagine it would be extremely satisfying.
