Women\u2019s History Month is a time to honor and celebrate the vast and vital contributions of women\u2014past and present\u2014across the globe. While the national observance in the United States began with a presidential proclamation in 1980 and expanded to a month-long recognition in 1987, the spirit of Women\u2019s History Month transcends borders, industries and disciplines.<\/p>\n

At Adelphi, we proudly join in this global celebration by recognizing the women in our community who are shaping the world around us\u2014as educators and researchers, artists and athletes, scholars and students, innovators and leaders. Women are making history every day, and those at Adelphi are no exception.<\/p>\n

Let this month be a reminder to uplift and amplify the voices, stories and achievements of women in all spaces\u2014on campus, in our communities and around the world.<\/p>\n
