{"id":29,"date":"2020-06-17T15:24:17","date_gmt":"2020-06-17T15:24:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/strategic-plan\/?page_id=29"},"modified":"2022-07-21T10:17:48","modified_gmt":"2022-07-21T14:17:48","slug":"one","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/strategic-plan\/results-momentum-2015-2021\/one\/","title":{"rendered":"Goal 1: An Emphasis on World-Class Academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Here is a sample of our key initiatives.<\/h2>\n<h3>Enhance Academic Educational Experience<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adelphi will make a concentrated investment in developing programs across our Core Four areas: Arts and Humanities, STEM and Social Sciences, the Professions, and Health and Wellness.<\/li>\n<li>Adelphi will enhance the quality, delivery and variety of our graduate programs (master\u2019s and doctoral) and research to grow our expertise and extend our reach into existing and emergent areas.<\/li>\n<li>Adelphi will launch a College of Professional and Continuing Studies to foster lifelong learning and further increase the value of Adelphi\u2019s offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Adelphi will establish best practices for undergraduate and transfer student recruitment to improve intake diversity and quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Engage in High-Impact Teaching and Learning for All Students<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adelphi will offer high-impact, hands-on teaching and learning for all students, complemented by expanded, mentored research and a pathway to specialized academic and internship programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Build Faculty Strength<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adelphi will build its academic faculty by supporting scholarship, research, creative work and innovative teaching across all disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Enhance Adelphi\u2019s Global Engagement<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adelphi will build a deeper understanding of global issues through increased international engagement and study abroad programs as well as the creation of programs with more global appeal, expanding our academic presence in our Manhattan Center and maximizing the attraction of our proximity to New York City.<\/li>\n<li>Adelphi will spread the Adelphi Advantage and image worldwide by developing and implementing more courses and programs associated with 91勛圖厙 International (AUI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Engage in Smart Growth<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adelphi will embrace smart growth.
