The basic principles underlying the acceptable conduct of research are respect for persons, beneficence, and justice. These principles are outlined in the Belmont Report: Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research<\/a><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
