Please review the information below to determine if you have a reason for review.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of special circumstances eligible for review include loss of income reported on the FAFSA\u00ae due to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loss of employment\/income or a change in employment of a parent, independent student, or student\u2019s spouse whose income has been reported on the FAFSA\u00ae<\/li>\n<li><span>One-time only\/non-recurring income<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The death of a parent\/spouse<\/li>\n<li>Divorce or separation of parents whose income had been reported on the FAFSA\u00ae<\/li>\n<li>Divorce or separation of a student whose spouse\u2019s income had been reported on the FAFSA\u00ae<\/li>\n<li>Medical\/Dental expenses (paid out of pocket\/not covered by insurance)<\/li>\n<li>Other extenuating circumstances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Examples of circumstances that<span> <\/span><em>cannot<\/em><span> <\/span>be considered for an appeal include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consumer debt<\/li>\n<li>Regular monthly expenses<\/li>\n<li>Income that is reported annually on your federal tax return<\/li>\n<li>Tax liability due to recent changes in federal tax law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note <span>an appeal does not guarantee a change in your awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How Do I Apply for an Appeal?<\/h2>\n<p>Please review the Aid Appeal form carefully. If you feel your situation fits one of the circumstances listed, complete the forms provided below, selecting the circumstance which best represents your situation and providing all requested documentation with your appeal.
