It reflects Adelphi\u2019s commitment to providing a connected, supportive on-campus environment where students can thrive\u2014especially as off-campus housing costs continue to rise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Benefits of the Two-Year Housing Agreement<\/h2>\n<p><span>By committing to two years of on-campus living beginning in Fall 2026, students can:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Budget more confidently<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Stay fully engaged in campus life<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Build meaningful bonds with their Adelphi family<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Enjoy the safety, convenience and support of living on campus<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Two-Year Academic Housing Agreement includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two academic years of housing at the same rate<\/li>\n<li>Full access to campus amenities and services<\/li>\n<li>Options for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/housing\/on-campus-housing\/roommate-selection-and-changes\/\"><span>Roommate Selection<\/span><\/a><span>, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/housing\/on-campus-housing\/room-types\/\"><span>Room Choice<\/span><\/a><span> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/housing\/on-campus-housing\/residential-communities\/\"><span>Residential Communities<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dineoncampus.com\/adelphi\/meal-plan-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Required meal plan<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Opt In to Two-Year On-Campus Housing<\/h2>\n<p>To participate in the Two-Year Academic Housing Agreement, students must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Have a $300 housing deposit on file<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit an additional $100 Two-Year Commitment Deposit<\/strong> (This deposit will be applied toward second-year housing charges)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/housing\/apply\/\">housing application steps and deadlines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Additional Requirements for All Residents<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span><strong>Meal Plan:<\/strong> All resident students are required to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dineoncampus.com\/adelphi\/meal-plan-information\"><span>enroll in a meal plan<\/span><\/a><span>, which offers convenient access to dining across campus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><strong>Resident Activities Fee:<\/strong> Residents also pay a Resident Activities Fee that supports a unique sense of community, including evening and weekend programming in the residence halls. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/housing\/costs\/\">View full breakdown of room rates, meal plans, and fees<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Looking Ahead: Options After Two Years<\/h2>\n<p><span>We hope you\u2019ll choose Adelphi as your home throughout your college journey. <\/span><span>Based on participation and demand, we anticipate offering options for students who wish to continue living on campus after completing the two-year agreement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Students who participate in the pilot can expect one of the following continuation options, to be announced in March 2027:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Renew for another two-year agreement with a modest, predictable rate increase<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Extend for one additional academic year at a similar incremental increase<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>In either case, students who choose to remain on campus after the pilot period can expect housing rates to increase gradually and predictably, in line with standard annual adjustments. Adelphi is committed to transparency and fairness in housing costs and to supporting students and families as they plan their full academic experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Is This Housing Option Right for You?<\/h2>\n<p>The Two-Year Academic Housing Agreement is a good fit if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan to live on campus for the next two academic years<\/li>\n<li>Want predictable housing costs<\/li>\n<li>Value a vibrant, immersive campus experience<\/li>\n<li>Prefer the convenience and safety of on-campus living<\/li>\n<li>Are considering the rising cost and availability of off-campus housing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Cancellation and Early Termination<\/h2>\n<p><span>Students who complete Year One but choose not to return for Year Two while remaining enrolled at Adelphi will forfeit the $100 second-year deposit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In addition, a $750 early termination fee will apply.
