\"LeonTrustee Emeritus Leon M. Pollack was an 91勛圖厙 Board of Trustees<\/a> member from 2000 to 2012. <\/span>During that time, he served on five committees and as vice chair. He was the first living alumnus in Adelphi\u2019s history to make a philanthropic commitment of $1 million or more to the University and established the Leon Pollack \u201963 Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2004 to benefit undergraduate students in the Honors College<\/a>. At the conclusion of his service in 2012, he received the Lifetime Service Award at Adelphi\u2019s annual President\u2019s Gala<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pollack earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in history at Adelphi<\/a> and built a successful career on Wall Street as a general partner at Mabon, Nugent & Co. and as a managing director of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.<\/p>\n

His expertise in the business and financial worlds was supplemented by his longstanding commitment to philanthropy. Prior to his passing in 2023, Pollack devoted many years to the support of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and served as president and a member of the board of trustees at the Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
