Some examples of graduate assistantships are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sport Management undergraduate students work as officials and perform camera and broadcast work for intramurals, helping to live stream athletic events.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate assistants work in public relations, marketing, and finance, and serve as head or assistant coaches.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to co-teaching undergraduate courses, Physical Education graduate assistants conduct and present research at Adelphi\u2019s annual <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research and Creative Works Conference,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as conferences for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nysahperd.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeamerica.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) America<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate Exercise Science students coordinate with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/campus-recreation\">Campus Recreation<\/a> to provide personal training opportunities for students, faculty and staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_1653\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1653\" class=\"wp-image-1653 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"An athlete is getting monitoring equipment in the Exercise Science Lab at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-1536x1022.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-2048x1363.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/04\/Exercise-Science-Program-193-500x334.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1653\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our Human Performance Laboratory conducts physiological testing on Adelphi student-athletes to fine tune exercise programming, investigate abnormal responses to training and for research purposes.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Additional prerequisites are needed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/program\/graduate\/exercise-science\/\">MS in Exercise Science<\/a> students pursuing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/program\/graduate\/exercise-science\/assistantships\/\">graduate assistantship<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a graduate student, you will work under the careful supervision of faculty or staff in locations like the Human Performance Lab.
