Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences received notice of a re-accreditation by the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/caepnet.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation<\/a><span> (CAEP) from Spring 2020 through Spring 2027. This renews our original accreditation status, received in 2013 from the accrediting body for teacher and school leader education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The following programs were included in the CAEP 2019 Accreditation review:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Initial Programs: <\/strong>Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood Special Education, Adolescent Special Education, Childhood Education, Adolescent English, Adolescent Math, Adolescent Science, Adolescent Social Studies, Art Education, Music Education, TESOL, Physical Education, and Health Education.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced Programs<\/strong><span>: <\/span>Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood Special Education, Adolescent Special Education, TESOL, Literacy, and Health Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As we prepare for our upcoming CAEP re-accreditation site review in Fall 2026, the following programs will be included in the review:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Initial Programs:<\/strong> Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood Special Education, Adolescent Special Education, Childhood Education, Adolescent English, Adolescent Math, Adolescent Science, Adolescent Social Studies, STEAM Science, STEAM Math, STEAM Computer Science, Art Education (undergraduate and graduate), Music Education (undergraduate), Educational Theatre, TESOL, Physical Education (undergraduate and graduate), and Health Education.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced Programs:<\/strong> Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood Special Education, Adolescent Special Education, Physical Education (graduate), Health Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We remain committed to ensuring the highest standards in our educator preparation programs and appreciate your continued support.<\/p>\n<h2>CAEP Accreditation Visit: Call for Third-Party Comments<\/h2>\n<p>The Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is hosting an accreditation visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) from <strong>November 4\u20136, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments regarding the quality of our educator preparation programs.<\/p>\n<p>Submit written comments to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mail: CAEP, 1140 19th Street NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20036<\/li>\n<li>Email: <a href=\"mailto:callforcomments@caepnet.org\">callforcomments@caepnet.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Comment Guidelines<\/h3>\n<p>Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs and should specify the respondent&#8217;s relationship to the institution (e.g., graduate, current or former faculty member, employer of graduates).<\/p>\n<p>Comments should align with CAEP accreditation standards, which emphasize that educator candidates must demonstrate subject matter knowledge and effective teaching practice in P-12 classrooms, and that accredited programs engage in continuous improvement and assessment.<\/p>\n<p>All correspondence received will be shared with 91³Ô¹ÏÍø for comment prior to the review.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about CAEP accreditation standards, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caepnet.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<h2>Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA)<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in speech-language pathology {residential, satellite location} at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø has been placed on probation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. <\/span><span>A program on probation is not currently in full compliance with the accreditation standards.
