Starting in Spring 2022, the program is designed to connect the dots between leadership roles, experiential learning opportunities, and career, and the \u201creal world\u201d of work.<\/p>\n<p>The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has identified the eight essential competencies that employers seek. The ability of candidates to provide evidence of these aptitudes provides demonstrable value to decision-makers in business whose success hinges on accurately assessing applicants\u2019 career readiness.<\/p>\n<h2>Why a Digital Badge?<\/h2>\n<p>While physical badges have been in use for hundreds of years, the idea of digital badges is a relatively recent development.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable evidence of competence to potential employers<\/li>\n<li>Signal achievement, validating one\u2019s reputation within the university and the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Enable students to demonstrate soft skills \u2013so essential in business<\/li>\n<li>Inspire engagement, collaboration, innovation and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Encrypted and secure, non-transferable and portable<\/li>\n<li>Promote lifelong learning extending beyond the classroom<\/li>\n<li>Highlight accomplishments that otherwise might have been hidden<\/li>\n<li><span>Badges can be shared on social networks such as LinkedIn<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Career Success Digital Badging Program provides a framework that conveys students\u2019 workplace competencies to prospective employers.
