Whether you&#8217;re presenting at a conference in the U.S. or conducting field research abroad, these awards help facilitate impactful experiences that enhance both personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please contact Holger Henke, PhD at <a href=\"mailto:hhenke@adelphi.edu\" rel=\"noopener\">hhenke@adelphi.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Conference Travel Stipend for Research Presentations<\/h2>\n<p>Up to five students will receive a <strong>$1,500 travel stipend<\/strong> to attend a relevant conference, academic symposium, or creative gathering in the U.S. during the 2025\/26 academic year. This award is for students presenting research or creative work at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\">Scholarship and Creative Works Conference<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>To apply for this award, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student in any discipline<\/li>\n<li>For undergraduates: At least 12 credits completed by the end of Spring 2025<\/li>\n<li>For graduate students: At least 9 credits completed by the end of Spring 2025 and enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Award Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend a conference or symposium that aligns with your research or creative work<\/li>\n<li>Submit a report post-conference highlighting your experiences, insights, and lessons learned, particularly on global issues and intercultural communication<\/li>\n<li>Present your findings at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\">Scholarship and Creative Works Conference<\/a> in the following year, acknowledging the BCGU award<\/li>\n<li>Submit receipts and invoices for travel expenses. Unused funds will be returned to the BCGU<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p>Submit the following materials by <strong>May 31, 2025<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A completed application (maximum 2 pages, double-spaced) that includes:\n<ul>\n<li>How your work aligns with BCGU\u2019s global understanding themes<\/li>\n<li>How attending the conference will expand your knowledge<\/li>\n<li>A detailed description of your research or creative project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A CV outlining academic accomplishments and interests<\/li>\n<li>A letter of recommendation from your research advisor or professor<\/li>\n<li>Details about a conference or event where your work can be presented in 2025\/26<\/li>\n<li>A projected budget for travel, accommodation, and other expenses<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Finalists will be interviewed by the selection committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bhis\u00e9 Student Research &amp; Creative Works Awards are excellent opportunities for students looking to expand their academic and creative portfolios while engaging with global issues.
