Alumni Award for Graduate Study<\/h2>\n

The Adelphi Alumni Award for Graduate Study is available exclusively for graduate and doctoral students who previously earned a degree from 91勛圖厙 and are accepted into a new program of graduate study. If you earned a degree from Adelphi and now are a newly accepted graduate or doctoral student in a different program you may be eligible for this special award. You may choose to enroll in 6 credits\u20138 credits per semester and receive $1,000 per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester and receive $2,500 per semester at the Garden City campus or our centers in Hauppauge, NYC-Brooklyn<\/span> or Hudson Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application process: <\/strong><\/span>You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application. Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible, but no later than the priority deadline to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special provisions: <\/strong>To be eligible, you must have completed a bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, or doctoral degree at 91勛圖厙, be accepted into a new graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student for a minimum of 6 credits per semester on or after summer 2024. Previous Alumni Award for Graduate Study recipients who are enrolled in 9 credits within the summer 2024, fall 2024, and spring 2025 semesters<\/span> semesters will receive $2,500 \/semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

Award structure: 6\u20138 credits per semester $1,000\/semester; 9 or more credits per semester $2,500\/semester. This award is applicable to the summer, fall and spring semesters.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Award Terms\u00a0(Please note that all award terms listed below must be met each semester to receive this award):<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. The level of your award will depend on your actual enrollment.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. This award in combination with other tuition awards cannot exceed the costs for tuition and fees.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. This award is not applicable to: students enrolled in contractual programs and graduate online programs, those who receive other forms of AU scholarships, grants or remissions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Academic scholarships for fifth-year students in the Scholar Teacher Education Program (STEP) and undergraduate-to-graduate business pathway programs (3+1 or 4+1 options)<\/span>, and other University tuition remission programs cannot be used in conjunction with the Adelphi Alumni Award for Graduate Study.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Notification: <\/strong>Eligible students will receive a scholarship letter with their letter of acceptance. Recipients who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are eligible for federal financial aid will also receive a College\u00a0Financing Pla<\/span>n stating the amount of the award.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Graduate Recognition Scholarship<\/h2>\n

    The Adelphi Graduate Recognition Scholarship is offered exclusively to high achieving graduate students who have been fully admitted into an eligible program and begin their graduate program in the summer of 2024, fall of 2024, or spring of 2025<\/span>. Students may choose to take 6 credits\u20138 credits per semester and receive $1,000 per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester and receive $2,500 per semester at the Garden City campus or our centers in Hauppauge, NYC-Brooklyn<\/span>, or Hudson Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Application process: You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application. Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible but no later than the priority deadline to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Special provisions:<\/strong> To be eligible, you must be accepted into an eligible graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student. Students with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 will be considered.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Award structure: 6\u20138 credits per semester $1,000\/semester; 9 or more credits per semester $2,500\/semester. \u00a0 Previous Graduate Recognition award recipients who are enrolled in 9 credits within the summer 2024, fall 2024, and spring 2025 semesters will receive $2,500 \/semester.\u00a0 This award is applicable to the summer, fall and spring semesters.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    4. This award may not be applied towards any of the following programs: graduate online programs, contractual programs, doctoral-level programs, certificate programs, the masters in biology, and communication sciences and disorders.<\/li>\n
    5. International students may be eligible for the Graduate International Recognition Scholarship (see details below).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Notification:<\/strong> Eligible students will receive a scholarship letter with their letter of acceptance. Recipients who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are eligible for federal financial aid will also receive a College Financing<\/span> Plan stating the amount of the award.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Graduate Merit Scholarship<\/h2>\n

      The Adelphi Graduate Merit Scholarship is offered exclusively to high-achieving graduate students who have been fully admitted into an eligible program and begin their graduate program in the summer 2024, fall 2024, and spring 2025 semesters<\/span>. Students may choose to take 6 credits\u20138 credits per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester at the Garden City campus, our centers in Hauppauge, NYC-Brooklyn<\/span>, Hudson Valley or select online programs.<\/p>\n

      Application process: <\/strong>You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application. Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible but no later than the priority deadline to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid.<\/p>\n

      Award structure:<\/strong> This award will be disbursed throughout the course of your graduate study and each semester’s award amount will be based on your enrollment status on a prorated basis each semester based upon your full time(minimum of 9 credits per semester) or part time(6-8 credits per semester) enrollment status.<\/p>\n

Students may choose to take 6 credits\u20138 credits per semester with awards ranging up to $2,222 per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester with awards ranging up to $5,000 per semester at the Garden City campus or our centers in Hauppauge, NYC-Brooklyn<\/span>, or Hudson Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Application process<\/b>: You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application. Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible but no later than the priority deadline to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Special provisions:<\/b> To be eligible, you must be accepted into an eligible graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student. Each admitted MSW student is reviewed holistically for consideration of a scholarship of up to $20,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Award structure:<\/b> 6\u20138 credits per semester ranging up to $2,222\/semester; 9 or more credits per semester ranging up to $5,000\/semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Award Terms (Please note that all award terms listed below must be met each semester to receive this award):\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

        • This award may be applied toward the following programs: On-campus MSW in Social Work and Advanced Standing MSW programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          PhD Social Work Scholarship<\/strong><\/h2>\n

          The Adelphi Ph.D. Social Work Scholarship is offered to high-achieving doctoral students who have been admitted into an eligible program and begin their graduate program in the fall of 2024. Students may choose to take 6 credits\u20138 credits per semester with awards ranging up to $2,075 per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester with awards ranging up to $4,150 per semester at the Garden City campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Application process: You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application. Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Special provisions: To qualify, you must be accepted into an eligible graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student. Each admitted Ph.D. student is reviewed holistically for consideration of a scholarship of up to $16,600.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Award structure: 6\u20138 credits per semester ranging up to $2,075\/semester; 9 or more credits per semester ranging up to $4,150\/semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

            The Adelphi Graduate International Recognition Scholarship is offered exclusively to high achieving international graduate students who have been fully admitted and begin their graduate program in the summer of 2024, fall of 2024, or spring of 2025<\/span> Students enrolled in 9 or more credits per semester may receive $2,000 in their first academic year at the Garden City campus or our centers in Hauppauge, NYC-Brooklyn<\/span>, or Hudson Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Application process:\u00a0<\/strong>You will automatically be considered upon receipt of your complete graduate admissions application.<\/p>\n

            Special provisions: To be eligible, you must be accepted into an eligible graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student. International students with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 will be considered. Previous Graduate International Recognition award recipients who are enrolled in 9 credits within the summer of 2024, fall of 2024, or spring of 2025<\/span> semesters will receive $1,000 \/semester.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

              Graduate Assistantships<\/h2>\n

              A limited number of graduate assistantships are available to qualified students. Assistantships are awarded at the discretion of the department. They may be awarded based on academic merit and some may take financial need into consideration. Students receiving such appointments are required to devote a specified number of hours each week during the academic year to assist in teaching, research, or other technical services, as assigned by their department. In return for such services, the student is granted a remission of tuition. In addition, some assistantships offer stipends. Assistantships and\/or stipends may impact your eligibility for other sources of financial aid. In addition, taxes may be withheld.<\/p>\n

              Application and special provisions:\u00a0<\/strong>Contact your graduate school\/department to obtain applications and specific eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n

              Graduate Athletic Awards<\/h2>\n

              In response to the change in NCAA guidelines in relation to an additional year of athletic eligibility for certain student-athletes due to the COVID pandemic, the University, so as not to financially penalize these students, has agreed to a one-time exception which will allow student-athletes who are awarded athletic grants, in their graduate year of study, to be permitted to retain this institutional aid as well as other academic, alumni, and recognition awards.<\/p>\n

              This “stacking’ of awards will only be permitted while a student-athlete has NCAA athletic eligibility and is enrolled in a graduate degree-seeking program while meeting all of the published criteria for receiving any institutionally awarded aid.<\/p>\n

              Under no circumstances can these institutional\u00a0aid awards be combined with graduate assistantships.<\/p>\n
