Our Mission is to increase the number of economically disadvantaged students and others prepared to enter college, and improve their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and the licensed professions.<\/p>\n

Eligibility for STEP<\/h2>\n
STEP serves students from the Hempstead, West Hempstead, Westbury, Freeport, Malverne, Valley Stream school districts. Students that are outside of these school districts may join if enrollment space is available.<\/span><\/p>\n
Students must be:<\/p>\n

Enrolled in Grades 7-12<\/li>\n
Economically disadvantaged and\/or will benefit from academic enrichment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
A group of students by the shore participates in fieldwork as part of the NY STEP program.<\/p><\/div>\n
